This was done for one of my subjects in Year 1 while studying in Temasek Polytechnic. For one of our assignments, we had to create two A2 and one A3 Digital poster for a brand to showcase their clothing collection. I chose the brand 'Our Second Nature' as I liked their clothing style.
This collection of theirs was basic and minimalistic while displaying pops of various vibrant colours. I went for a neutral colour palette for the design to make the clothings stand out and catch people's eyes. Using Adobe Illustrator, I hand traced every single flowers in the background of the poster. The technique I used to trace the flowers was by drawing one continuous line without releasing my fingers. Furthermore, I used Adobe Photoshop to photoshop the bodies and clothes into the poster.
For the A3 poster, we needed to create an invitation poster using the same clothing collection from the same brand. Using the same techniques from the previous two A2 posters, I produced this invitation poster where the concept was that the customers could view the clothing collection while having tea and snacks or chatting with their friends. I had to research real life places where I would have held this event and used that place as a location for my poster.
These artworks rewarded me a compliment from my lecturer on how well I paired the colours and the placements of my texts. I am quite pleased with how it turned out as well, hope you liked them too!
